A leader is a person who leads a group of people without forcing them to do something. However, they get their members to do something because they want to do something. A leader is a person who shows their team the right way of doing things, forging a better character, and showing how to become the person they wish to become. A leader is not a person who disrespects their team, forces them to do something, or tells them how to do things because they feel it’s their title rights.

“Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want doing because he wants to do it.”–Dwight Eisenhower

A leader will lead their team to success in any possible way. However, a leader will not allow their team to be failures. Failing is never an option for leaders as it shows weakness.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” –John Quincy Adams.

A good friend of mine once said: “you can take a horse to the water hole, but you can’t force the horse to drink the water.” My friend is right. You can’t force anyone to do anything they wish not to do, and the more you try to do precisely that, then all you will do is cause anarchy among yourself and lose all respect you earned.
